What does BitBrowser do?
BitBrowser is a multi-profile browser. It runs many browser windows side by side, each as a fully isolated environment with its own browser fingerprint and its own proxy IP. Profiles stay cleanly separated from one another, which keeps your work organised when you manage several accounts you're authorised to run — for example across e-commerce, social media management or research. Built on the Chromium and Firefox engines, it gives each window a stable, self-contained environment. With its collaborative team-management features, it helps you keep operations structured and access controlled.
What is the difference between BitBrowser and an ordinary browser?
An ordinary browser shares one environment across everything you open. BitBrowser lets you run multiple profiles in parallel, each isolated from the others. That makes it practical for legitimate workflows where you manage several accounts or stores you are authorised to operate, keeping each one in its own clean, separate environment — used within each platform's own rules. For the fingerprint side of that isolation, see browser fingerprinting explained.
Which businesses is BitBrowser suitable for?
- Cross-border e-commerce: open separate windows to manage multiple store accounts you operate.
- Social media management: maintain the accounts you're responsible for, each in its own profile — agencies managing client accounts work from the social-media-agency page.
- Web scraping and data engineering: keep each collection job on its own German IP, so public-source scraping stays stable and region-true — pair it with a web scraping proxy.
- Advertising and SEO work: keep client and project environments cleanly separated, and support region-true testing by setting the proxy per profile.
In every case, BitBrowser organises the profiles — your German mobile proxy provides the genuine German 4G/5G IP underneath, for legitimate work within each platform's terms.
How to add a German mobile proxy to a BitBrowser profile
BitBrowser assigns a proxy per profile, so each window can browse through its own German mobile IP. To connect a profile to GermanProxy.io:
- Create or open a profile — click New Profile (or edit an existing one) and give it a name.
- Open the proxy section and set the proxy method to Custom.
- Select the protocol — HTTP or SOCKS5 (GermanProxy.io supports both). SOCKS5 is a good default: it carries any traffic type and resolves DNS remotely, which helps avoid DNS leaks.
- Enter your endpoint details — the host, port, username and password from your GermanProxy.io account.
- Click Check Proxy. BitBrowser tests the connection and shows the detected IP and location. Confirm it reports a German mobile IP before you rely on it.
- Confirm to save the proxy to that profile, then open the window — the profile now browses through your German mobile IP.
If the check fails, re-verify the host, port, protocol and credentials, and allow a higher timeout — mobile latency is higher than datacenter. For a whole batch of profiles, use batch proxy settings (below) to assign endpoints in bulk. To hold or change the IP on a schedule, see sticky sessions and IP rotation.
A window runs normally once its fingerprint is generated; if no proxy is set for a profile, it falls back to your local connection — so always confirm the proxy check passed before working in the window.
Free tier and plans
BitBrowser offers a permanent free tier of 10 profiles, which is enough to trial the fingerprinting and per-profile proxy setup end to end. When you outgrow it, paid plans add more profiles and team seats. Pricing and profile counts change over time, so check the current plans on the official website before you commit.
