Before You Start
You need two things:
- OpenVPN Connect for Android (free, from the Google Play Store)
- Your
.ovpnconfig file for your German mobile connection. If you use a mobile proxy from us, message us on Telegram and we'll send you your config.
OpenVPN routes the entire device. If you only want specific apps on the proxy, use the Super Proxy app with its per-app filter instead.
Step 1: Install OpenVPN Connect
- Open the Google Play Store and search for OpenVPN Connect.
- Install and open the app.
Step 2: Get the Config File onto Your Phone
Save the .ovpn file to your phone — for example via your Files app, a cloud-storage app, or the chat where you received it.
Step 3: Import the Profile
- In OpenVPN Connect, open the menu and go to My Profiles, then tap the add icon.
- Choose Upload File, browse to your
.ovpnfile, and select it. - When the import confirmation appears, tap OK to load the profile.
Step 4: Enter Your Credentials and Connect
- Enter the username and password for your endpoint if prompted.
- Tick Save to remember them.
- Tap the profile toggle to connect. Android shows a VPN connection request the first time — tap OK to allow it.
Your whole device now routes through your German mobile IP.
Step 5: Verify Your IP
Open our traffic check — or any IP-lookup service — in your browser and confirm the IP and location match your German mobile endpoint. Repeat the check with the profile connected and disconnected to be sure the whole device is routed.
That's it — your Android device now runs through your German mobile proxy.
FAQ
OpenVPN or Super Proxy — which should I use on Android?
Use OpenVPN to route the whole device through one config. Use Super Proxy when you want HTTP/SOCKS5 with per-app control over which apps use the proxy.
Does this cover browser features like WebRTC?
Routing the whole device through OpenVPN means browser features such as WebRTC also use the mobile endpoint, which avoids real-IP exposure. See what a WebRTC leak is.
Why is my connection slower than on Wi-Fi direct?
Mobile latency is naturally higher than a fixed line. A dedicated German mobile connection stays stable for everyday use; expect slightly higher latency, not a broken experience.
