Direct Answer
ParseHub takes a German mobile proxy in two places: the desktop app's Options → Advanced → Network → Connection Settings for manual configuration (host, port, then username/password when prompted), and the project's Settings → Custom Proxies field — format IPAddress:Port:Username:Password, one per line — after Rotate IP Addresses is enabled on a paid plan.
What to Know Before You Start
ParseHub is a no-code desktop scraper. It supports HTTP and SOCKS5 proxies and, unlike some no-code tools, accepts username/password authentication. The per-project Custom Proxies field (with rotation) is a paid-plan feature.
You'll need four values from your GermanProxy.io account: host, port, username and password.
One extra step for Method B: ParseHub does not expose the Custom Proxies field until custom proxies are enabled on your account. Email [email protected] from your account address and ask them to switch it on first — otherwise the field never appears. Method A (app-wide Network Settings) needs no such request.
Method A — App-wide (Network Settings)
- Open ParseHub → the menu (three lines) → Options.
- Go to Advanced → Network tab → Connection → Settings.
- Choose Manual proxy configuration.
- Enter your HTTP Proxy host and Port, then click OK.
- When the authentication pop-up appears, enter your username and password.
This routes ParseHub's traffic through your German mobile IP.
Method B — Per-project (Custom Proxies + rotation)
- Make sure custom proxies are enabled on your account (see the note above — email [email protected] if not).
- Open a project → click the gear icon next to the project name → Settings.
- Tick Rotate IP Addresses (paid-plan feature). The Custom Proxies box appears at the bottom of the settings.
- In the Custom Proxies box, paste your endpoint as
IPAddress:Port:Username:Password, one per line. Add more lines for multiple endpoints. - Save Settings, then run the project.
Verify the IP First
Run a small project against an IP-echo page (e.g. https://api.ipify.org) and check the result is a German mobile IP, not your own address. If it's wrong, re-check the host/port and that authentication succeeded. A 407 means the credentials didn't reach the proxy — see how to fix 407 proxy authentication required.
Sticky Sessions vs. Rotation
- Sticky session: a single endpoint keeps the same German mobile IP across a multi-step project.
- Rotation: enable Rotate IP Addresses and/or list several endpoints to spread load — the country stays German.
See sticky sessions and IP rotation explained.
Scrape Responsibly
A mobile proxy improves reliability for legitimate data collection — it is not a tool to circumvent access controls or platform rules. Respect each site's robots.txt and terms, keep a reasonable request rate, collect only what you need, and handle any personal data in line with the GDPR. FAQ
Does ParseHub support username/password proxies?
Yes. Enter the host and port in Network Settings and authenticate in the pop-up, or use the IPAddress:Port:Username:Password format in the Custom Proxies field.
Is IP rotation free?
No — the Rotate IP Addresses / Custom Proxies feature is part of ParseHub's paid plans, and custom proxies must first be enabled on your account by emailing [email protected].
HTTP or SOCKS5?
ParseHub supports both. HTTP is the simplest default; pick SOCKS5 if your workflow needs it. See SOCKS5 vs HTTP proxy.
App-wide or per-project setting?
Network Settings affect the whole app; Custom Proxies apply to one project. Use per-project when you only want a specific scrape proxied.
